Unlock the true essence of mountain cuisine with Uttam Khadyanna Store’s Wild-Harvested Jimbu. A rare, aromatic herb belonging to the onion family, Jimbu (Allium hypsistum) is hand-collected from the high-altitude alpine meadows of the Himalayas.
Known as “Himalayan Aromatic Leaf Garlic,” Jimbu is the soul of Thakali and traditional Nepali cooking. Its flavor profile is a complex, savory blend of onion, chives, and garlic that transforms simple dishes into gourmet experiences.
Wild & Hand-Picked: Harvested at over 3,500 meters, ensuring a concentrated aroma and flavor that farm-grown alternatives can’t match.
Signature “Tadka” Herb: When tempered in hot ghee or oil, it releases a smoky, earthy fragrance that is the hallmark of authentic Kalo Dal (Black Lentil Soup).
Sun-Dried Purity: Naturally dried to preserve its essential oils, antioxidants, and medicinal properties without any artificial processing.
Digestive Powerhouse: Traditionally used in the Himalayas to aid digestion, reduce bloating, and boost immunity against seasonal colds.
